Bobby Newman, Narconon of Oklahoma’s director of drug education, speaks to a group of youngsters at the local Camp DaWaSi about the dangers of alcohol and drug use Tuesday at Wintersmith Park in Ada. Newman also spoke to the group on Wednesday. Narconon is a non-traditional drug treatment center, specializing in cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and alcohol addictions, currently located on the former Chiloco Indian School campus near Newkirk. Seventy-six percent of Narconon graduates beat their drug addictions permanently. Narconon will move into a new state-of-the-art facility at the former Arrowhead Resort near Eufaula later this month.
