Narconon Staff Around the World Acknowledged for 55 Years of Saving Lives

On Friday, February 19, 2021, the worldwide Narconon network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers reaches a remarkable milestone: 55 years of saving lives! This mission to rehabilitate those lost to addiction began in 1966 with just a few dedicated individuals and has grown to 31 drug and alcohol rehab centers in 15 countries.

In 2020, despite the international pandemic in full force, Narconon centers never closed their doors to those in need. Instead, staff immediately implemented sanitization protocols to ensure the safety of those under their care and continued to provide their high standard of therapeutic services. What’s more, hundreds of new clients were admitted so they could get a have a real chance at living sober and productive lives.

A few days before their historic milestone celebrating 55 years of service, staff at Narconon centers around the world took a brief pause to accept commendations and acknowledgements relayed from their Narconon International in Los Angeles. While enjoying refreshments and laughter, these hundreds of staff shared their stories, their accomplishments and their gratitude from 2020. Here is a small sample of the stories they shared.

Looking Toward the Future

In the midst of 2020’s international pandemic, hundreds of people were still able to find the help they needed at Narconon centers in Asia, North and South America and Europe and this work continues in 2021. In fact, the future brings plans for an expansion of the work so even more lives can be saved.

The Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation program uses an evidence-based, drug-free approach to rehabilitate lives being lost to addiction. The program is based on the discoveries of acclaimed author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard.

The mission of Narconon is to provide an effective path for rehabilitation from drug abuse and to assist society in preventing the scourge of drugs worldwide. As we launch into our 56th year, we rededicate ourselves to bringing effective rehabilitation services to those in need.
