Narconon Rehab Center in Nepal
No matter where you go in our world, you are still going to find communities where drug use and drug addiction are present. It might seem obvious that the world’s major metropolitan areas are hotbeds for substance abuse, but what is not so obvious is that drug use flourishes even in the most rural areas.
Nepal is just one example. It is not immune to the heroin industry that flourishes throughout Asia, and no one knew this better than Basanta Raj Kunwar. Mr. Kunwar was a police officer who was very good at his job. He worked for years to fight back against the flourishing drug trade in his country, and it often seemed like a losing battle.
He could put hundreds of drug dealers behind bars, but it didn’t seem to do anything to stop all the drug addiction that continued to occur among the people of Nepal. Even as Mr. Kunwar rose to the rank of Senior Superintendent for the Chief of Police in Kathmandu, he was still able to do little to actually have an impact on addiction in the community.
A Real Solution to Drug Addiction in Nepal
Mr. Kunwar knew that he was going to have to think outside the box if he wanted to come up with an effective way to stop so many people getting addicted to drugs. He knew he found his answer when he happened upon the Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation program.
As he soon learned, the Narconon program is different from every other method of drug rehab in the world. It has several key facets that make it much more effective than the rest of today’s shoddy attempts to stop drug use.
Unlike other drug rehabs, having a relapse isn’t considered a given for the graduates of Narconon centers. This is because the Narconon program starts with the idea that addiction is not an incurable disease. It works off of the fact that we are all ultimately responsible for our lives and can change the course of our lives if we really want to.
How Narconon Centers Get Results
While the Narconon program starts with this mentality of responsibility, it then executes a truly revolutionary method of rehabilitating former drug addicts. For example, it includes learning the essential facts of communication. Most drug addicts don’t know how to communicate well with the people in their lives, and this leaves them unable to deal well with the stress of everyday living. When addicts in the Narconon program learn how to effectively communicate with others, they can start handling the barriers in their lives without resorting to drug use.
The next revolutionary part of the program is that it effectively addresses the traces of drugs that build up in the bodies of long-time drug users. Most addicts think that the drugs they use are flushed out of their systems if they simply abstain for a few days or weeks, but this isn’t actually true. Drug traces still around indefinitely until they are removed by the groundbreaking process of detoxification at a Narconon center.
Bringing Narconon to Nepal
Mr. Kunwar saw how effective the Narconon program was, and this is what brought him to open his own Narconon rehab in the capital of Nepal. It has been so successful that Mr. Kunwar is now opening a new rehab facility outside of Kathmandu. This facility will enable the center to help rehabilitate even more drug users than ever before. With its addition, Mr. Kunwar will continue making a major impact to change the fate of addicts in his city.
